Amigurumi Chicken Rattle- Beak

With pink yarn, 2 mm hook. Work bracketed stitches into the same stitch.

9 ch, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, [sc, hdc], [hdc, sc], 2 sl st, [sc, hdc], [hdc, sc].

Fold piece in half and sl st into both the first and last stitches.

Leave a tail for sewing.

Bow

With mint yarn, 2 mm hook:

1: In MR: 6 ch, 6 tr, 5 ch, sl st in ring, 5 ch, 6 tr, 5 ch, sl st in ring

Leave a long tail. Pull ring tight. Wrap the tail around the center to form the bow. Secure the yarn. Use the same yarn tail to sew to the toy.

Ring Cover

With yellow yarn, 1.5 mm hook. Work in rows. Begin each new row with a tch.

1: ch 32 + 1 tch, 32 sc from 2nd ch

2-3: 32 sc

Switch to 2 mm hook:

4-7: 32 sc

Switch back to 1.5 mm hook:

8-10: 32 sc

Leave a long tail. Sew edges together around the ring.

Amigurumi Chicken Rattle Assembly

– Sew the head to the center of the ring cover.

– Sew the wings on both sides of the head.

– Attach the feathers to the top of the head.

– Sew the beak across both chain edges between rounds 14 and 15.

Embroidery

Eyes (round 13, 6-7 sc apart):

Work a black cross with YarnArt Jeans. Then stitch horizontal and vertical bars around it to form a square. Fill in the space with diagonal, vertical, and horizontal stitches to eliminate gaps.

Using white YarnArt Jeans, embroider the whites.

Use regular white thread (2 strands) to add symmetrical eye highlights. Secure and hide threads.

Eyebrows:

Use fine black thread.

Top line: 4 rows above the eye, bottom: 2 rows above.

Eyebrows are 2 stitches wide, 6 sc between them.

Final Touch:

Sew the bow to the ring cover.
